A practice app for choir singers
Koro Yıldızı — Practise your part at home.
Koro Yıldızı is a mobile app that helps choir singers practise their own part at home – correctly. Listen to your part on its own, sing along with the other voices, then try it alone; the star on screen follows your voice instantly and gives voice-coach feedback after every practice. From children's choirs to adult choirs, for singers and conductors.

Sheet music readingConductor and singer
Reads MusicXML and compressed MusicXML; voices on separate staves become separate parts, and two voices on one staff are split into upper and lower. Conductors can also upload a PDF or a photo of printed music.
Live pitch detectionSinger
Real-time pitch detection from the microphone runs entirely on the device. Headphones are detected automatically, including Bluetooth.
Practice toolsSinger
Speed control, transposition, metronome, count-in, looping between chosen bars, choosing your own part and a microphone test.
ScoringSinger
Per-note scoring that does not punish breaths and quiet moments and allows for latency. Easy, medium and hard levels.
Joining a choirSinger
Join with the conductor's six-digit code or by scanning a QR code. The choir's songs and assignments arrive on your phone automatically.
Assignments and announcementsConductor and singer
The conductor assigns a song and a bar range; it appears on your home screen and opens the song at those bars.
Rehearsal and concert calendarConductor and singer
Attendance replies, reminders and section-by-section roll call.
Send a recordingSinger
Send a recording to your conductor if you like and read their written feedback. Recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Warm-ups and librarySinger
Scales, arpeggios and two-part warm-ups; a library of rounds and ready multi-part arrangements.
Kids modeChild singer
Flowing notes, stars, a daily goal and a streak. Settings, sharing and joining a choir sit behind a parent gate.
Conductor dashboardConductor
Create a choir, share the join code, see singer statistics, recordings, songs and assignments on one screen.
Optional accountEveryone
Works without an account. With one, your practice history, settings and score annotations sync between your phones.
Your voice stays on your phone.
Pitch detection runs entirely on the device; microphone audio is never sent to a server. No data leaves the app before you join a choir, and joining asks for explicit consent – a parent gives it for children. Only recordings you choose to send and practice summaries reach the conductor. There are no ads and no third-party trackers, and you can delete your data at any time.

Koro Yıldızı — frequently asked questions
What is Koro Yıldızı?
Koro Yıldızı is a mobile app that helps choir singers practise their own part at home. It plays your part on its own, lets you sing along with the other voices, follows your voice live through the microphone and gives you a score and bar-by-bar feedback. It also includes choir, assignment and rehearsal tools for conductors.
Which score formats does it read?
It reads MusicXML and compressed MusicXML (.mxl), which you can export from MuseScore, Finale or Sibelius. Conductors can also upload a PDF score or a photo of printed music; the app reads the notes and turns them into a song you can practise. PDF scores can be annotated with a pen and highlighter.
Is my voice sent anywhere?
No. While you sing, microphone audio is processed only on your phone. Only recordings you choose to send and practice summaries reach your conductor, and recordings are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Can my child use it?
Yes. Kids mode has flowing notes, stars and a daily goal. Settings, sharing and joining a choir are behind a parent gate, and a parent gives consent when joining a choir. No birth date, e-mail or phone number is asked for.
Do I need an account?
No, it works without one. An account is only needed to join or create a choir. If you want, an account syncs your practice history, settings and score annotations between your phones.
What can I do as a conductor?
Create a choir, invite singers with a six-digit code or QR code, upload pieces once, set assignments, see each singer's practice time and average score, listen to recordings and leave written feedback, and manage the rehearsal and concert calendar.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone, iPad and Android phones. Once the app is published, the store buttons on this page open its store page.
Which languages does it support?
Turkish, English, German, French and Spanish.
